New year, New beginnings

Here's to the new year. All thanks be to God for his mercies through out the previous year. I bet you are probably wondering who this over zealous medic is. Here's a brief introduction. I'm Dr Who, and I decided to start up this Blog because I feel like there are many misconceptions about medical personalities and the rest of the world. Particularly in Nigeria. I also know that there are many people who may have a couple of health related questions and Google may have given them this shocker!
Google may not always have the answers to your symptoms.

I know there are occasions- like when your baby is really running a temperature at night, and you are not sure of the dosage to paracetamol to give, and you crush a whole tablet for your one year old... Yes dear! I know you do it, and then you are excited his fever went down but unaware that you are over working his liver.
I certainly wont be doing posts to scare you. No, that's not the aim. Our posts are going to deal with real life cases, yes and the gory details - we are not grim reapers :).We would deal with everyday avoidable cases that come through to the hospital, my journey to medicine, We will talk about everything medicine! All those things you don't know how to ask your doctors or those questions you feel Google is too far away to know the answer.

I would also entertain a segment for private consultations, but kindly note that I would not encourage questions that are emergency as emergencies could be life threatening and should be handled at a hospital. However if you wish to seek personal medical advice, you could reach out on the column which says private consultations, and I would definitely get back to you.

Cheers
Here is to a Prosperous and Healthy 2015!!!

Dr Anonymous.
